That kind of pulling out of tackles looks like a player who has had bad injuries and is now gun-shy. Not sure if that's the case with Harries but that was my first thought.

He's played a couple of really tidy long passes. You can see that you could see him as a ball playing defender in a three. Just never, ever in a two. Conroy is a reasonable comparison to be honest, left footed diet Conroy.

I do wonder why we brought him here as he's unlikely to get a game.

1st 10 mins he looked good then he stepped out of 2 tackles and his head seems to have dropped now.

Even in the first 10 he utterly misjudged a ball down his side and ended up stretching to concede a corner.  There is no defensive urgency in him.  Try and convert him to a midfielder if we can, to save a wage if nothing else.  I certainly wouldn't wan him anywhere near the central defence of a promotion chasing team.

Their attacks get within our six yard box, ours don’t get within their penalty box.

It's not exactly full intensity, but this is much more of a first team football match than the first two group games were so far.

I’m taking a guess here but probably his passing.
I expect the plan was to slot Harries in at CB and play the role of passing it 5 yards back and forth with Reed so certain fans could wank over our possession & pass completion stats…

Iandolo has again showed why he isnt a left back, far better going forwards and sloppy defensively, fit or not hes givebn the ball away a few times at the back so far.

It is, no idea what the possession stats are but we must have 70%+ so far, Rovers are sitting back and letting us have the ball. Just little in the last 3rd other than a few crosses.

It sounds like Lavinier is getting a few decent crosses in.

Pretty sure Harries was garners last signing for Town before he left.

Reeds corners show why Gladwin is taking corners now.

(Not just you but more widely) Reed gets a fair bit of criticism for stat-padding short passes sideways and backwards, but he also throws in quite a lot of seriously ambitious long passes out to the flanks which are much lower % completion. What he doesn't seem to do much of is anything in between - short to medium passes forwards. It must be managerial instruction, I can't see any reason he wouldn't be capable of them.
