Savage has agreed a deal at FGR

Seems a strange one as Macc appeared to be on the up whilst FGR are at best rather stagnant, if I were a Macc fan I would be a little concerned as to why he was jumping ship considering his input was way more than just coach, possibly thinks NL north is their ceiling as it stands?

Finally....

Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the departure of Danny Röhl by mutual consent.

Was only a matter of time.

Derek Adams gets the boot at Morecambe (after being barely paid for months) less than 24 hrs after change of ownership and about an hour after new owners put out statement about importance of unity....

Rather depends where you look, on many of the socials up here its getting at worst a pretty neutral response, with lots of positive comments and many of those who are kicking off about it seem very loathe to admit why they are not happy when asked....

Surely to goodness Derek Adams is near enough the perfect manager you want in this scenario, 5 first team squad player in place, a game on Saturday? Replacing him with someone who has no first team experience doesn't scream 'sensible' to me.

Reading some of the stuff floating around he had fallen out with a lot of the players and seemed to have no interest or engagement with the academy where I suspect that this season they are going to have to lean on rather a lot.

Much consensus is the fans really appreciate what he did but its not unexpected, the new owners were rumoured months ago to be considering replacing him immediately they took over so not really seen as a surprise....
