Edit....
I guess he didnt.

I have a feeling this is going to be a signing that won't make the club happy.

Imagine he'll be released, unless Holloway thinks he can get something out of him.

That does seem to be in our MO a bit. Take a risk on injury hit players and hope to rehabilitate them into decent signings. It's worked with Ofoborh and Glatzel to a degree, to be absolutely fair to the club.

One of our hanger ons probably makes some money from insurance payouts on injured players - to be clear that's something I have totally made up and almost certainly wouldn't be feasible anyway.

If I remember correctly Gunning said in an interview he hid an injury through his medical (draw your own conclusions on the quality of our medical team) played a game for us and made the injury far worse.
Do feel for him, he was a silly lad, but he's possibly cost himself his career doing that.

Shame, one of the better players in this squad. Gonna be playing Uwakwe at this rate!

13 players signed on for next year, 5 of them aged u20. Assume the first year pro’s are the majority of the u20’s.

I had this in the first post from the public announcements, suggests six of the unknowns have contracts beyond this year:

Contract Expiries
2025: Bycroft, Johnson, Khan, Cain, Uwakwe, Dworzak, Glatzel, Drinan, Cox
2026: Sobowale, Clarke, Brown, Kilkenny, Butterworth
2027: Minturn
Unknown: Wright, Hart, Hall, McGregor, Delaney, Longelo, Mitchell, McGurk, Ofoborh, H Smith

Would be fairly sure Hart and McGregor are two of them as Brown definitely got a two year deal.
