Perfection is not attainable

Makes me sick how far we've fallen reading things like that.
Absolutely, we are way behind these footballing Goliaths now.

Also looking at the top of L1 seeing Wycombe in 2nd place followed by Stockport and Wrexham, all funded by near bottomless investment yet all historically much smaller clubs with smaller fanbases than us.

I'd like to see Holloway retained - didn't see myself saying that a few months ago - but I'd give him a 1 year rolling contract, we have a lot of waste in the squad so it would be good for someone that knows the players to still be here and trim what is not needed and build on those retained.

I see that Holloway says a DoF is not needed but he has told Clem what is needed, personally I think we do need a DoF to link all football operations together and to give Holloway some help, the DoF doesn't need to be in charge of recruitment, most clubs these days work that way so a way of working is implemented throughout the club.

Although judging by Clem's track record we wont appoint one as it will save money - although I'm sure there must be a trainee plumber that has worked for AXIS UK that Clem owns money to and has played football manager.

If we don't retain Holloway then its probably back to square one looking over our shoulder at the national league again.

Drinan has a knee injury and could be out for months

This is not ideal

Real shame for him as his form has been excellent, but it is the position we have the most cover for. Hopefully it means Ameen getting a bit of a look in.

A real shame but preferable to Smith being out injured. We have adequate cover.

Indeed. But Drinan's workrate was just bearing fruit, big shame. Is he OOC in the summer?

Could we get McGurk back to play up top if out of all options?

We should be fine anyway barring anymore injuries.

Need to get Holloway signed up for next season so he can start sorting who he wants here next season as well.

Think we'd need a lot more injuries before that happens.

Glatzel, Tshimanga, Nichols, Butterworth & Ameen are all ahead of him at the moment. Plus McGregor is a converted winger & came on there on Saturday.

I think it's safe to say barring possibly the worst injury crisis in footballing history we've seen the last of McGurk.

Think you’re right, he didn’t even get in the starting XI for Yeovil’s last game

He was subbed off, on 60ish mins v Rochdale
He was subbed on, on 80ish mins v Dagenham

Probably tweaked his groin/quad/hammy v Rochdale.
Limited injury with a week rest in between so probably not worth the risk of further injury I'd imagine, and was used lightly in next match. Especially when not your own player.
