What is the situation with the electronic scoreboard- the one put up on SB is embarrassing frankly for a start unless you sit in the first 2 blocks of DRS you would not see it.

For the advisory board: get them to get something decent like the one at Crewe. The revenue raised from advertising it would pay for itself quickly and generate ongoing revenue.

No one in their right mind would pay to advertise on the tiny one put up as hardly anyone in the ground can see it for a start

If this is a result of more penny pinching it’s a false economy considering the revenue it could generate

You’d also do well to have it at the Arkells end of the Stratton Bank so it’s actually picked up on the television camera - which we all know is at the back of DRS.

We’ve got this new electronic advertising board that I haven’t actually ever seen because it’s off screen all game!

I was hoping it was going to show highlights at HT, but just continues to show the video from the kit launch. Although it did show the highlights of the statue unveiling a couple of weeks ago.

It's probably rented with the idea we sell advertising and make a bit of cash.

I don't have an issue with it as such, I can't see it.

Just defeats the whole object- get something bigger and either put it where the existing scoreboard is or in the corner between SB and Arkells

Its not (being used as) a scoreboard though. Have to confess I didn't check on Saturday but  I don't think it displays scores does it.

I may be wrong - usually am, but its object isn't to cat as a scoreboard or anything much useful from an in-match point of view.

It seems to constantly show the kit launch they done with the car - nothing else - very odd, although it is odd it is so small - didn't they get planning permission as it was mobile - not seen it move yet

I wouldn't mind betting that the thought process was to boost advertising revenue but nobody involved in the project actually understood the dimensions needed for something to be effective in an open football stadium.  They'd have been better off going for the digital advertising hoardings.  To make a screen work, it's got to be the size of the control room in the TE/DR corner.  The thing they put there looks like a TV, even though it is bigger than that, which sort of makes it pointless.  It's like a lot of what they touch, simply bodge it and fix it.  The DR statue gravel pit another example - nobody really sat down and thought that through beyond knowing the Trust had paid for a statue, so they should get some flat non grass surface prepared, with a half arsed concept of a fan park (although no real plans for what that would be, what it requires in terms of infrastructure (areas for seating with USB/C charging stations for example, ability to serve alcohol, requiring strict licensing discussions etc.).
