I’ve just put my car through the Greek equivalent of the MOT.

I thought the only requisite was that the horn was working.

Apparently I need to replace all 4 tyres. The tread is fine on all of them but, apparently, there is a use by date on tyres whether they are worn or not.

Is this just a Greek thing?

No legal requirement here in the UK but they recommend changing them once they are ten years old even if they look ok.

I thought it was 5 years.

sidewalls normally start to perish (crazing), or the tread crack..

No legal limit as above
