Ok informed maters of everything.
The current Mrs. LL could end up with a coffee machine from the fat bloke with a red suit and long white beard. Now we don’t drink masses of coffee but after our recent stay in the smoke where our room had a machine she rather fancies the idea of one. In the room there was a rather basic Nespresso Essenza Mini Pod Coffee Machine by Krups in black. A selection of medium or dark pods and either a 50 or 100ml dispense of the pod. Easy to use but very one dimensional. At £89.00 from Argo I thought might be a good starter machine.
Anyone got any sensible advice on one to buy?

We bought one of our sons a Dulce Gusto for about £45 a couple of years ago. Still going strong

Delonghi Magnifica bean to cup. Love it. Shove the beans in and press go. Makes great coffee to your preferred taste and style.

But disadvantages are that they are obviously a magnitude more cash, are usually bigger and do require cleaning and descaling. the cleaning/descale isn't as bad as you'd think

depends on what camper van you want to put it in. You would need electric hook up to plug it in.

Yeah this is a great machine, but is quite a bit more than the £90 Argos one that LL suggested. We had ours for 8 years in London and both myself and Mrs Bob drink a lot of coffee so it was very well used. We have now got a Delonghi Capuccino, we managed to get a refurbished one off of Ebay which is pretty much as new but without such a high cost. I think if you want a good bean to cup or even filter coffee you can't really go wrong with a Delonghi, however as noted, they don't come cheap. (Although it is Black Friday obviously)

Having purchased several over recent years, and they all broke within 2 years (most within 12 months), we splashed out on a Gaggia Naviglio, which is obviously Italian. It's been brilliant and makes lovely coffee.
