I presume he informed the club when he was charged on 6 June. Since then they’ve allowed him to carry on with transfer business and all things pre season related.

If it blows up in their face tomorrow there’s nobody else to blame. By backing him after the event they do appear to be condoning it.

Would have thought the correct action would be gardening leave until after the case is settled. But who would take on his duties during that period?
