Scott Lindsey has left his post as manager of Chatham to pursue a role in the football league. Make of that what you will.

Having read both those articles on Garner I wouldn't be against him coming in, in some ways his experience at Rovers is a good thing, went in with exactly the remit I think we'd likely put in place for a new manager, had things changed from above him soon after his appointment, made his mistakes and has had time to do his own analysis on what those mistakes were.

Like Wellens he has had that experience as the main man and should be better equipped for his second role in the position.

All hearsay obviously but on paper looks like the kind of appointment we should be looking at, hopefully if it is him his record at Rovers can be overlooked from certain sectors of our fanbase, without that period on his ledger I think he'd look like an impressive candidate.

Puts me in mind of Neil Critchley who has had a decent start to his management career.

Whoever it is, good luck to him.

Garner mention in his interviews that changes in the set-up at Rovers cocked things up for him. Does anyone know what those changes were?

Garner would be a hugely underwhelming appointment

We could get Gareth Southgate and some fans wouldn't be pleased.

Pro-tip: you can think someone might not be the most exciting person for the role AND still wish they succeed.

Hope he has some kind of personality as last thing we need to another dour personality vacuum on the bench. Gotta give him a chance but the Rovers fans comments about being too nice to manage, unbalanced squads and no tactics but a good coach of young players does sound a bit Luke Williams like.
