Probably but it would be with heavy heart.
The main reason is time with son. It's something we have bonded over, he's 17 this year so it won't last much longer.

Playing devils advocate what would be the point in consulting the trust? For the record I don’t think a 7% price would put people off - if you’re in you’re in, if you’re out you’re out. I’m still on the fence but the price won’t make my mind up one way or the other.
Mainly because they said they would.

If he were to serve that whole time (and you'd have to imagine it would be unlikely) he'd be our longest serving manager since Andy King (who did 3yrs 9months in his second spell). If he somehow went past that, we haven't had the same manager for four full calendar years since Danny Williams, who did it twice!

I'd have only given him a one year deal with an option of another year. I might be being overly negative but what happened at Grimsby is still nagging at me

About 9:22 on the clock in their left corner.
quote from Ian: " I've just signed my new contract, So I've got 3 years. I've got 3 years, they're going to have to put up with me for 3 years if I can last that long."

3 years is absolutely mental if true.
it's like, even when the club try to do something right (and extending holloway is a tap in) they still somehow manage to get it wrong.

Good to see the manager has announced it to the nation before the club have done anything.
Media savvy, they aint.

Does anyone bar those closely involved actually know what happened at Grimsby, it seems to be akin to a game of Chinese whispers where it rather depends who you listen to, I can understand that Grimsby fans were pissed off with Holloway as he did shite there but there are plenty of sources out there to also suggest that anything nefarious that may have happened had little if anything to do with Holloway? 3 years is absolutely mental if true.

One would assume there are breaks of some sort in there otherwise he could be bloody pricey to get rid of, especially as if rumoured he would only manage close to home again so we would have to hope someone like Rovers took him on if we sacked him. What we don't know is how the negotiation went I s'pose, he may have only been prepared to sign on a long contract and if the club refused to agree there would be loads of no money no ambition stuff immediately all over SM.

Or he moves upstairs after one season and Clementes' mate Gunning takes over

Can’t tell if Sam Morshead’s/The moonrakers quotes about “pre emption” and “waiting for permission” on X are insinuating something going on or just well placed quips

It's no risk for an owner if he doesn't plan to be there for that time period though.. becomes somebody else's problem.
