The coffin protest was really not very many people either. I think we look back at that age through rose tinted glasses, but SO69 march had far, far more.
It was good though.

The bit that really worries and concerns me for the future is that with these rumours we often hear how the interested party could only get so far before uncovering god knows what, it does make you wonder if a sale is even possible even if Clem ends up wanting to sell.
As mentioned before it just needs a total clean slate and getting rid of any hangers on. Obviously that wont happen but we can hope. Euro millions tonight, get buying your tickets!
Ditto, I know I'm a boring repetitive twat but my fear remains that anyone who is prepared to take over a business with apparently no books available for DD to be undertaken, skeletons which would apparently do a plague pit proud, losing £2m a year and with few assets (the only one of which involves you being beholden to a third party has a veto on anything you substantially propose) is either going to be dodgy as fuck, or broke , and with our luck I suspect an enticing combination of both....

Did it though? I remember doing the protests with the blimp, coffin and what not and we were still getting abuse off fans similar to what we get now. I don’t remember a galvanised and united fanbase at any stage.
Yeah the clueless will remain clueless and be proud of it. I don't think it did much. Most of them didn't even know who Mike Diamandis was and similarly don't have a clue about Adam Hart, etc. either.

….because they have spilled absolutely nothing. It’s just rumour.
I’ve heard Vince McMahon has put a bid in. Just because I’ve said it do you believe it to be true?
Some know more. With this one I’m afraid is believe me or don’t. One thing though is plenty of people know I’m not a rumour merchant and of course if it’s in confidence it is in confidence. What we all want is that new day when every one of these bastards are gone for good. My concern (not fact) is whether Morfuni has others that are holding matters back. This should have been sorted months ago but it’s not dead.

Anyway, the one I gave more details about is English, he just has USA investors supporting him and lives over here now. The MLS chap was American. Also engaged with several CEO's of clubs in England and an owner - to try and figure out how on earth to try and get a business model created that could be dangled in front of these types of people. Again, for their own personal reasons, these people do not want to be front and centre, usually because they are simultaneously working on investment deals for their own clubs (as was the case with two of them).
As you know Mate plenty of football people also helped. Why I get wound out when the Clemites keep spouting that nobody is interested in Swindon. The walls are slowly creeping in on Morfuni and this is now in similar waters to the Power era. They are starting to fall out.

Wasn't it the belief that other(s) were actually more keen on selling and it was Clem that was the one digging the heels in so rather the opposite of that? Although that was Kiely specifically. I do wonder how many others there are between Zav, Hart, Kiley plus wives, maybe Standing and got knows who the fuck else. and for the record I'll take every last bit of potential interest news I can get if you think its genuine, I need something to cling on to. And if something isn't for the public forum i'd welcome it slipped in to my DMs. Only thing keeping me going with football at the moment as totally depressed with everything else about it.

Hopefully not too similar as it'll mean the next chancer in line steps up.

If ever there was something that is indicative of Clementes' tenure here, it is people getting excited that a match has been given the go-ahead one day before the match is scheduled.

The Bank work is clearly a last minute scramble, what kind of competent organisation would choose to do demolition works once the season has started.

There are ‘no’ friends in business. And those that pretend to be soon fall out. Money is the root of all evil, on so, so many levels. Look at the well documented fall out within families over wills! As you say sands of time are shifting and the walls are closing in. Won’t take much for it to implode.

Good to see at the very least, that when comms do (eventually) come out of STFC now, they are written and proof read by somebody who is competent at writing.
That said, why on earth this statement has been left until friday pm to be published I have no idea.
Club do themselves no favours. I wonder how many fans we may have lost for saturday with the lack of comms and marketing for the game.
