meh he's gone now so that's one more chapter passed.

I don't hate him. I had what he did.

I rarely understood your selections, line ups, formations and style of play.

He sounded like he cared. he might have.

He obviously wanted to keep us up. he didn't.

I'm angry that he dismantled an OK team, a team that I believe could have stayed up. He made an OK attacking team more leaky and less attacking.

it's over now so time to draw a line and move on. all the best with your retirement JS. I can't see another team taking you on but its a merry go round for a reason.

there is an element that us fans don't understand behind the scenes but we can see everything that is coming out now with power and it must effect players and management.

Damage is already done even though im glad he'll no longer be associated with the club.

The bigger concern is what happens to the club next season. Im terrified of Power still being here as we prepare for life in League 2. Non league or worse has never felt so close for me.

I never like Sheridan as a player and don't like him as a person. He comes across as a rather nasty person. Although, many in the game seem to like him.

I don't think he is totally to blame, but, he should have jumped or been pushed a long time ago.

Many of the players are either not good enough, not fit enough or have not been trying.

I'll be quite pleased to see many of the out of contract players departing at the end of the year.

The thing is with this Dino is that there is nothing he did well.

The tactics are non existent or at least not discernable to the average human.
The team selections are bizarre and inconsistent, strikers at left wing back, wingers at right back, central midfielders everywhere apart from where they should be, poachers played as target men, playing a deep line with no pace up front, playing a high line with no pace at the back....the list goes on.

On top of that he's a bully and treats players with contempt.

Oh and he's a cunt.

We've had shit managers before but none of them come close to this clown.
Good riddance and hope you enjoy your relegation bonus.

I sent a text v Rochdale.

A blindfolded Chimp, picking players names out of a hat would of amassed more points than Sheridactyl.

Truly awful.

Going in January might of given us a chance....after the Gills defeat a glimmer. Today is just better late than never.

A poor side that leaked goals has transformed into a truly shit one in all departments.

Going through the motions now for the next few games.

What a depressing shit show.

This 100% means a new manager bounce and a 4 game winning streak to keep us up.

Nailed on.

There's plenty that could be told about him from people I have good links with at Chesterfield. Not many would believe them though.

Oh and remember...just shy of £5k to have this guy make a keynote speech and appear for an 1hr. The cunt couldn't read a speech properly even if it was written for him.

Incredibly pleased he's gone* but it's all too late now.
In fact it now looks more a move of cowardice than an honourable one.
He only cares about himself. Do not be fooled, any tears he shed tonight were not for the Town.

*I'm reserving acceptance until we get official confirmation. Knowing Town in it's current guise they won't bother. Even if the elusive Stevie Wonder (Anderson), only has to load up and log in to his electronic Brother typewriter, whilst sat at home in his coffee stained Y-fronts, to type "STFC have accepted the resignation of John Sheridan, more to follow..."

Could you imagine the scenes though if Lee Peacock, assisted by Christian Roberts won the last four and kept Town up!

While my comment was tongue in cheek, I would not be surprised if a new manager bounce does happen.

Whether or not it would be enough remains to be seen.

Lolzy, I know it was Smiley Mine was too (obvs).
I too would not be surprised to see a sudden lift from the players.

Should never have been given the job. Even after that should have been sacked months ago. Awful manager. The worst actually. I'm convinced we wouldn't be going down if it wasn't for his appointment.

This word for word.
Woeful on all accounts.

If Lee came in and kept us up it would be the greatest of great escapes and we’d need to erect a statue of the Cock outside the CG.

It doesn’t really matter who the manager is when the chairman gets to pick the team I.e. Curran. Let’s hope whoever is in charge gets to pick the strongest starting 11.

I’d imagine he’s camped in Switzerland and won’t step foot here anytime soon.
