Or 4-5-1 with Conroy in midfield?!

Or 4-3-3 with Payne up front?!

Would prefer that to be 352 but imagine it’s 4231 with Conroy in midfield

I like Odimayo. He has talent and, on occasion, does take the odd chance in his play. Yet another player not trusted by Sheridactyl in favour of a lump merchant in Grounds. He’s not played for months and is straight back.

Caddis got a right roasting at Crewe earlier in the season.

Grounds straight back in, Odimayo on the bench, Grant not even on the bench, cart horse line up (for our ploughed field ?)
Presume Sheridans 'training form' approach/selection has kicked in again ? oh dear !

Quite a random selection. We'll see how it goes I suppose. I do feel for Twine, coming back from loan and almost immediately getting benched.

It is a slight concern that we are starting with 3 defenders Caddis, Broadbent and Grounds who have less than 15 mins game time between them in the last 5 weeks.

He was on a Zoom meeting with fans a week or so ago and was asked about his directions as how to play at Newport and was told basically to float in a midfield three. Under Sheridan it was rigid. Say no more.

Apparently the normal relaying of the pitch last summer did not happen due to the uncertainties of the coming season so nothing was really done and then to cap it all there have been drainage problems since. I would think that Marcus Cassidy must be well p****d off as the pitches for the last few years have been excellent.
The pitch was relaid in the first lockdown back in April/May 100%.
