Yep. The Fishy Mariners! Who’d a thunked it.

Only reason I know is I was watching the 4-3 Arsenal game on Points West and it popped up on there.

I suppose we’ve done well to avoid the non league trapdoor over the years when so many have fallen.

I suppose we’ve done well to avoid the non league trapdoor over the years when so many have fallen.
So many teams from the league have eventually been relegated to non league, out of 92 league clubs 27 have fallen out of the league since.

Grimsby, Chesterfield, Chester, Southend, Colchester, Cambridge, Carlisle, Shrewsbury, Orient, Wrexham, Bristol Rovers, Notts County, Exeter, Oxford, Bury, Southend, Mansfield, Newport, Lincoln, Torquay, Aldershot, Stockport, York, Halifax, Hartlepool, Hereford and Darlington.

Carlisle also.
Two of them bid farewell at the CG.
Another two of departures celebrated with great gusto at the CG as well.

I had totally forgotten them TBH I had forgot several that only spent a single year out of the league. Also I always forget Carlisle are even in the league now!

Hereford away used to be one of my favourites. Notts County also - in the pub right by the Trent Bridge.

Apart from Bury I’ve been to all those that have fallen.

I went to Bury 4 times, 3 wins and 1 loss, next door to the cemetary! there were a couple of pubs near the ground but none were very good but its only a few miles from the centre of Manchester and theres some good ones there.
