CT Technician

Permanent, 35 hours per week, Term Time plus one week

Salary: NJC Grade 5 £19,312 - £20,092 per annum FTE

(Actual salary in the region of £15,616- £16,246)

Faringdon Learning Trust has a vacancy for an ICT Technician to support the Trusts ICT provision across our Primary and Secondary Schools. As part of the ICT Services team, the post holder will provide technical support for the ICT infrastructure across our Trusts school sites.

For a candidate without the skills and experience requested but an aptitude and commitment to ICT, alongside a demonstrable desire to learn, we would consider appointing an Apprentice ICT Technician. Support would be given to the Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Computing Apprenticeship at Swindon New College. This would be an 18-month apprenticeship, 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, paid at NJC grade 3 £18,198 - £18,562 per annum FTE (actual annual salary in the region £17,214 - £17,558).

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has excellent ICT skills and understanding;
Is keen to expand their technical knowledge of ICT systems and infrastructure support;
Has a solution orientated, methodical approach to problem solving and testing;
Is confident with Microsoft applications and systems - including Office 365.
The post holder will be required to visit multiple school sites all of which are currently within 10 miles of Faringdon, so own transport and driving licence are essential.
