Latched onto him as a 10 year old as my Town Hero once Jan Fjortoft has flown the coup.

Loved hearing the top corner of the Intel stand belting out ‘Finney wonderland’ it’s giving me goosebumps just typing it.

He is the poster child of the saying "purple patch".  Looked a real find, no idea how he never kicked on.

In Div 3 he was a decent player but nowhere near good enough for Div 2, looked a decent find early in his career but as you say didn't have the quaity to kick on as it turned out.
