Can anyone help on how to sort out my dishwasher. It's started to leave a white residue on the glassware. I use decent branded tablets, keep the salt topped up and also the rinse aid. Cleaned the filter out and have run a rinse through. Any ideas?

My tuppence worth. The water here as I’m sure you’re aware is bullet hard. If the residue rubs off it is likely to be excess salt. Which suggests your rinsing is all to cock. If it is scoring with a swirl type pattern that won’t rub off then I’m afraid it is a combination of the minerals in our hard water and the salt and your glasses won’t be getting any better. Google is your best friend and certainly a butchers at the manufacturers manual would help. Lastly I don’t put our glasses in the dishwasher but my lazy arsed Mrs. does, apparently she hand washes them all the time and I don’t. One of those arguments that are not worth getting engaged in.
