I remember the game - it was my first season watching the Town and what a season. I had to look it up to jog my memory, but Steve White, Jake Findlay and Dave Moss all played for Luton in that game.
They had a great side back then with future internationals Brian Stein, Mal Donaghy, Tony Grealish, Paul Price and Ricky Hill in the team, David Pleat hadn't been with them long then too. We outplayed them for long periods of the game and Mossy got choruses of Swindon Reject every time he got the ball from the traveling 2,000 or so Town fans there.

Coincidentally all 3 of those signed by Lou Macari.

Haven't been there for donkeys years, anyone know if there's anywhere to park nearby?

My last visit was also a few years back and I parked near a shopping centre akin to Cavvi Square.
Had a Mk 3 Cortina at the time.

Was it still there when you got back?

This is looking more like some of pre-Christmas away games last season, where damage limitation was the order of the day.

Glad I checked as didn't realise it was all ticket. Was just going to catch the bus across and pay in. Ticket now going up on the supporters coach as just missed the deadline for them putting it in the post.

Unfortunately this has the feel of a damage limitation exercise about it.

I am not normally this pessimistic but I see little at this moment in time to give me optimism.

Luton have scored 11 goals in their last 2 home league games I just hope we can get a clean sheet there, James Collins is a banker to score against us. Lots of ex Town players there in Sheehan, Cuthbert and Mccormack too.

Can see where you are coming from.

Hopefully the nature of the last two performances haven't served to knock the stuffing out of the team at this early stage of the season.

Up to Flitcroft now to show that it's not all about talking a good game.

Absolutely on both those counts.

FWIW I think Flitcroft will come good I worry this fixture at Luton may have come too soon for the squad as a unit.

It would appear so, Ex Town loanee kevin Dearden is GK coach  so thats 6 players/staff with a Town connection there.
