I guess it depends what you count progress as...

He has been on this project for 7 years or so.  You'd like to think they had got further than thinking about a Master Plan, still.  They have made zero progress if they haven't even done that yet, because that was precisely where they were a year ago. working on a Master Plan.

Sam in the Moonraker reports that four options for redevelopment of the DRS will be presented to the joint venture board at the end of the month.

Largely focused around hospitality.

Would need to be put to JV members.

You'll be glad to hear that Anthony Hall is optimistic about the timeframes involved.

Maybe it’s me, but the DRS would be the last stand I would look at doing anything to.

There is so so so much wrong with the stadium now, the DRS is probably the one one that’s passable.

Agree.

Putting aside the fact I wouldn't trust this lot to run a bath for a minute.....

The way I would approach things in an ideal world, would be looking at putting something cheap, relatively small and basic as a Stratton Bank replacement (think a slightly bigger version of the away end at Northampton) and then I would treat the Town End/Arkells as one big new stadium like project. All connected with the Arkells/TE corner filled in. Would leave the DRS completely as it is.

Now back in reality for a moment, I would hope the Trust and anyone else with a say in the JV would be expressing that Axis should be the last ones doing this after how inept Clem has proven to be.

If its put for voting to JV members (we get a vote dont we as part of the share thing?) and its all hospitality, its not getting my vote. It just reeks of the cheapest option and the bare minimum.

They cant even sell out the normal stuff, i know one person who posted on here in the past and his company used the CG for everything. They’ve gone elsewhere now.

Let’s be honest the club proposing to put exec boxed in the DR is just about throwing a bone to the joint venture. They will never be used - all the catering is in the Arkells.

Bank 1st, TE 2nd, Arkells 3rd. The DRS doesn't need tinkering with yet.

Or at all. If you're doing the arkells then the DRS doesn't need boxes.

Exec boxes in the DRS would give more bang for their bucks spent. Saw something from Andy Holt at Accrington they were bringing in £250k a year through there's.

I would imagine a retrofit to an existing structure like the DRS would be relatively simple to get planning than the Bank or Townend.

The reason for the DRS is that it's supposedly designed to be relatively easy to add a mystery mezzanine. I'm sure we'll make it look dead simple as well, and get all the right pea suppliers in place.
