It is much quieter than it used to be regardless of that though.
Could this be partially due to the adver ban? Less news causing a stagnation of rumours and a general loss of enthusiasm for the club by our supporters...that and our poor league position.

Nope, it's more due to the fact( no matter what reg says) Is for the first time in 7-8 seasons we have nothing riding on the season with about 15 games to go. We are Oldham...

Oldham have been in the 3rd tier since 1997.

I wouldn't be that surprised if they went the way of Stockport County if they finally dropped down to the 4th tier.

3 years ago today we won at Tranmere to go top of league 1 following the aftermath of Hurricane Paolo, the imminent resignation of the backroom staff and the great County Ground robbery.

When you put it like that, it's probably not a surprise it's a bit quieter these days.

If only we'd have had Eddie Howe.. We wouldn't have even needed AB's money. Smiley

We did have Eddie Howe in 2004, but in typical STFC style failed to recognise potential managerial greatness when it was right under our nose.

Did he actually make it onto the pitch, or was he injured for the duration of his loan? Great piece of business.

Sorry do you mean Eddie Howe (Best young manager in the world (c) ) as referred to by just about any pundit on the BBC?
