Benn v Eubank predictions?
Usually I’d say the natural weight difference is significant enough that Eubank should get an easy win. But have a feeling that Benn will take this thanks to the enormity of the occasion and the fact Eubank has been relatively inactive over the years. He’s got wins against a washed up James Degale and an injury ravaged Matt Korobov, but, more significantly, an easy loss to the only prime, elite fighter he’s faced (George Groves). I don’t count his win against Liam Smith as being against a prime, elite opponent.
Having said that, Benn is hardly a busy fighter himself who has fought and beat the best of the best. His resume is pretty thin. And I’ve never seen anything from him that elevates him far past the realm of the contender.
So head says Eubank on size alone, but heart says Benn is gonna snatch it.
