Wouldn't be shocked if he just says fuck it and stays overweight and pays another fine

This is what i’ve been hoping he does since the fight was announced!

Yeah, he’d still make multiple millions even if he was fined further. And a win would get him other big money fights. It might be worth it for him

I'm hoping Eubank's team are spending today trying to work out who leaked that he was having a tough weight cut to former Irish boxer Steve Collins...

I thought Eubank just shaded it even though Benn threw lots more punches that were were often erratic and didn’t connect.

Fantastic commitment by both fighters right to the end but still not convinced Eubank is a great fighter in the middle weight division but that could be down to he's now getting slower at the age of 35.

Good fight, didn't think the gap was 4 wide but  hey.

Some great toe to toe slogging, rematch guaranteed I'd say

A bit disappointed Eubank never went over to Benn at the end just to show him respect as it takes two to make a great fight.

As you say probably a rematch later in the year assuming both want it and who knows maybe on a Fury v AJ undercard at Wembley!

An otherwise terrible weekend of Boxing saved a bit of face thanks to ‘The Monster’ Inoue and his game opponent Cardenas

Move over tansmedia, there is a new sherif in town

Honestly ''Stevo'', your comment that got published was more relevant and gold than the actual fight itself. I'd expect nothing less from the Celtic Warrior  Wink

The fight or the anticipated fluff surrounding it, was nothing more than a weird nostalgia hit. It was marketed around their two boxing fathers and there has been a continuous media circus surrounding Eubank Jr, almost pressuring him to emulate his father. Benn Jr has been a little more fortunate and whilst Eubank Jr has shown some promise, both of them are nowhere near the success and talent of their forebears There was nothing at stake and it was nearly as ridiculous an excuse for a boxing match as a Tommy Fury vs <ins one of the Paul Brothers> match. I guess these two are {at least} somewhat average or above boxers.

Honestly though, this cash grab fight was pointless. In fact, I half expected Richard Osman to be the announcer. I didn't really have any opinion myself on the outcome as I felt it was a facade from the off. The sons of two great boxers from the late eighties and nineties era, just making sure they can keep the heating on a bit longer. Does one of the Dads have a hotly anticipated book or memoirs being released soon too?   Soapy Tit Wank

We're absolutely blessed to watching boxing at a time when the likes of Inoue and Usyk are fighting. If they were American you'd never hear the end of them.

It was a prizefight. Completely agree that in the grand scheme of boxing it was pretty much irrelevant. Neither fighter are elite, never will be, and neither are even half as good as their old men were. But having watched the turgid nonsense that was Haney, Garcia, Canelo etc I’d take an entertaining scrap between two guys fighting some half-cocked legacy grudge any day.

It was fucking awesome weren’t it?

Inoue is a proper champ. He’d rather be knocked down than fight in a snoozefest. And the way he adjusted to the knockdown (his second in two fight, both by a left hook, by the way) is the hallmark of a special fighter. It’s a shame he’s almost at his ceiling weight-wise. He is pretty much a perfectly sized superbantam weight. He could probably go to featherweight but not beyond that without being at a serious disadvantage. Some want to see him fight Tank, but those people are donuts.

Who do you have, Usyk or Dubois? It’s 60-40 in Usyk’s favor in my opinion.

Usyk for me I think he’s far to clever for Dubois to catch him again and bizarrely the majority of the crowd will want him to win.
