Lansdown has already paid off 35 million of their debt. I have no doubt he will continue to do so.
The bigger stadium I guess he hopes will be the beginning of them turning a profit, although the only real way of doing this is getting them in the Premiership I guess?

And how much will that cost?
That's the reason QPR are in the shit - debts racked up in getting promoted from the Championship.
The question is: how long is he willing to pump money into a club marooned in the Championship

Just remember, they have the moral high ground. Their shit don't stink and they will win this title purely on the good lads and great management. Its nothing to do with money.

It's not just a club to him is it though, it's the club he supports and it costs him a fraction of his huge wealth. If he were to ever walk away I highly doubt he would leave them in the shit either.

Clubs owned by a sugar daddy fan, have a habit of falling apart around the departure of their man.....think Walker at Blackburn, Whelan at Wigan and Hayward at Wolves.....usually though they buy a bit of success first....Walker the Prem, Whelan the FA Cup, Hayward a return to top flight football. I suppose Lansdown may see the JPT in that light.

Erm Whelan is still at Wigan, just passed chairmanship to his 23 year old grandson to deflect the pressure from him being racist elderly.

Here's the losses by The 82ers from 2008 :
2008 £2m
2009 £6.5m
2010 £11.8m
2011 £11.45m
2012 £14.4m
2013 £12.9m
2014 £9.2m
That's c.£68m in 8 years, I know Lansdown isn't short of a bob or two but is he seriously that wealthy - Wiki has him down as rich but not stinking rich (in footballing terms).

The interest alone would be enough to keep the 82 's debt written off every year.

But when they are in the Championship the FFP rules will prevent any owner bankrolling their club - in theory anyway

Losing £9.2m is in effect losing £180k a week.
Are they paying their players, like Flint, over £10k a week? Madness.
