I think Smith is quite a handy little player but he should be playing at right-back. I concur. Last night was an abysmal team performance with very few (any?) positives to be taken from it. He was solid defensively against Forest and knew when to get forward. I also think he looked assured when shoved into central midfield alongside Whalley against Oldham. |

I thought he wa s alright against Oldham, looked like he wanted to get the ball down and showed some good touches. Last night, like the rest of the team, he was terrible.
Not the time for the axe just yet, a bit of patience and he'll be good enough. Nicho's a good player to have as back up, I reckon the next time he gets a call up he's gonna take his opportunity and show us what he's made of.
