After a youth of getting pissed on cider I just can’t drink it now, but have found that I can cope with the flavoured versions, which helps in this weather

It took me a good 15-20 years to drink it again after getting wasted on it after my finals.

I'm good with it now

Being intolerant to gluten these days, I have no choice but to drink cider (or shorts).

I thanks Fred Elliot, formerly of this parish, for my introduction to cider many years ago - life has gone full circle.

Remember the Beehive in Bath was a scrumpy pub back in late 80s early 90s. In there one night and this bloke who looked like something out if Viz walked in a shouts "Cider me up landlord".  Grin

Going on a day trip to the Vale craft beer brewery in Brill, Buckinghamshire tomorrow. For our bus and 6 hours of beer time I'm paying the princely sum of £40. I don't particularly like most of their beer, but last year they had a tremendous coconut stout they were trialling that was right up my street. (the coconut flavour subtle, but I do like my coffee type stouts also) as an added bonus there is some live music and a food van so that's my Saturday afternoon well and truly sorted.
