My sister used my mums car and parked at The Range for 3 hours. There's been a heap of shit since; my mum ignored the letter initially and didn't hear anything for a while, checked online and all the advice said nothing would come of it. Then they wrote another letter basically saying see you in court. Upon reading futher, more recent advice, a lot of people seem to just be paying the fine and getting it done with now. Haven't spoken about it for a while but as far as I know my mums still due in court. Just depends which route you want to take bearing in mind it could get messy.

Instead of trying to get out of fines you deserve, how about not being so selfish and not taking up spaces in busy car parks?

But it's not a fine, is it? It's an arbitrary charge that's unenforceable

Ok, Let's take your parking in Aldi for example. It is a busy supermarket with limited parking at the best of times let alone when football is on. What do you think gives you the right to just leave your car there to go to a football match with no consequences?

Do you honestly think Aldi's car park would be rammed on a Tuesday evening?

There are a lot of things to get riled up about, but staying an extra hour in a supermarket car park ain't one of them.

I don't give a flying fuck to be honest. I'm just not sympathetic if people knowingly parking where they shouldn't getting tickets.

It's not about not parking where I shouldn't it's about overstaying by an hour and some faceless company trying it on to extort £90.

I do admire those of you who abide by every rule and reg

Smiley very wise...why not get rid of your motor, like I did, so much less stress in life, although finding somewhere secure to park my bike can be difficult.

The 'I was only parked on the double yellows for 10 minutes or I only overstayed by x amount of time' cunts are the worst.

Whenever I've parked somewhere I shouldn't have done (retail car parks) I've done so on the basis that the benefits outweighed the risks, but if they caught me out I'd suck it up and not complain about it. I'd try to get out of it, but to act like I have some sort of self entitlement to park wherever I liked would mean going up several levels of cuntishness.
