Oh, good thread this. I've not come across much good music this year, although that may say more about music than me. I'll look up a fair few in here.
For myself off the top of my head, Opposites or Tape Deck Heart were decent albums, neither spectacular though. The 1975 wasn't too bad either.

Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe The 1975 wasn't too bad either.
I very much liked their early work on the EPs they had released but the debut album seems to have written with commercial radio stations in mind, in a very pop orientated bland way.
