I clicked on it.  If they make a successful move back to Plough Lane, the FA Commission that sanctioned the Franchise debacle are going to look like arseholes.

I agree with Sippo.

Too many people think that contempt for Franchise FC equates to sympathy toward Wimbledon FC. They are missing the point.

Although Ardiles does raise a good point. (fnar fnar)

I don't think its sympathy to AFC that people are implying - but if they could establish a base in Merton it would undermine the whole argument for Franchise FC.

Exactly this.  My main motivation for supporting AFCW is to ensure that Franchise is a one off.

Were flats last time I drove past, last I heard they were looking at developing, or building alongside the dog track, lots of space there.

The GRA, who own the greyhound track, have been trying to offload it for a while now but there appears to be a covenant restricting it to a community facility - so no housing.

Pascal Taggart who turned greyhound racing around in Ireland is hoping to purchase the track and upgrade the facilities as it is a complete shithole.

If this fails there may be an opportunity for a new football stadium on that site.

That would return Wimbledon as the shittiest ground to get to
