Fact is, Saturday was our worse loss to a non league side in the whole history of our club....

I think 1 refund in over 125 years is reasonable......

I wish I could get those sort of stats as a sales guy !

No one deserves a refund. We all know the risk v reward when we buy the ticket. It's still a nice gesture by players/management who put up a shocking display on Saturday. I'll readily accept it as I'm struggling to think of a more disappointing performance from a town side. Yes, I've seen plenty but I can almost forgive CCP and Micheal Pook in midfield and Ricky Shakes on the wing. They were not very good players. All of these players are better than that. Flash has it spot on!

I'm not bothered about their non-league status... it isn't like losing to a group of PE teachers, plumbers, and electricians - proper non-league set-ups. The 7-1 at Forest was pretty poor... if anything was in contention for a refund, it was that game!

That Forest away game kind of turned quite enjoyable though, if only in a gallows humour/united in the face of adversity kind of way. The atmosphere in the stands was brilliant.

Yeah, true... I didn't even leave early (unlike that beatings Rovers gave us home and away the other year - the only times I've ever left prematurely). To me, not being up for those derbies was worse than pretty much anything I've seen following the Town.

Cheltenham away under King when the crowd turned on Heywood/Gurney and vice-versa occupies a special place as probably the most horribly dejected I've felt leaving a game. Although it's a crowded field!

I agree with Paul D here.

I've seen enough crap at the CG over the years, including us conceding 6 at home aginst Ipswich (when two of our players had a 'disagreement' on the pitch) and losing 6-2 against Blckpool in '85, let alone losing to Stevenage on that windswept day.

You just have to put up with the crap...the good times feel sweeter.

Not strictly true in FA Cup terms....in 1900 we get dumped by Wovers 5-1 in the 5th qualifying round....when we were both in the Southern League Div 1...which equals the deficit of Saturday. In 1896 we went down 8-3 to Soton St Marys in 3rd qualifying round, who were like us a Southern League Div 1 side.
 
The last time we had such a disgraceful outcome against a team below us in the pecking order, was the 5-0 defeat to Uxbridge in the 3rd qualifying round of 1895, when they were Southern League 2, whereas we were SL 1.

I think your opinion would be different had you made the effort and the spent the money. To say it's fucking ridiculous to refund the fans for losing a match is absolutely spot on, but we all know full well that losing 4-0 to a Conference is abysmal and the fans who made the effort deserve to be refunded. Can't see why anyone thinks otherwise.

I agree. Yes I am gutted but thus us why so many people love a cup match.
