Very good signing...and without doubt a great investment in my view.

If he stays fit he will go on to much better things than LG1

I will never forgive somebody who deliberately lies to me Flash, but I do applaud the board for this signing - if it comes off!! Hmmm

I think you've missed the point.

If this signing is completed then how were you lied to?

Not necessarily about this signing Flash, certain other statements were made, ie we spoke to Tisdale twice, but each time he moved the goalposts and Exeter are asking crazy money to release him - three hours later he was on the radio denying the club had been touch with him at all!!  And the business of the roof on Stratton Bank - "we're waiting on planning permission being approved", well sorry to disappoint but my local councillor has made some inquiries on my behalf with a central ward colleague and the planning office and informed me this morning that there is no record of any planning permission being applied for.  This leads me to believe that I was lied to!

But why are you taking it so personally? The £450k player thing seemed to be a lie but turned out not to be so why not give him the benefit of the doubt rather than taking it all a bit too seriously?

Who cares if Jed gets carried away from time to time.

All that matters is what happens on the pitch

All the rest of it is bollocks

Ronnie,i kind of get your point....many on this forum had/have misgivings about the current regime.

The facts dictate that they are getting it right...more importantly Cooper has been an inspiration...i was one of the few saying he should get the job...on the basis he has worked with the current players.
The last two matches have shown a great upturn in events....i have eaten humble pie many times and i really hope that i am slurping on a fucking great slice of it come next May.

All chairmen and money men tell you what you what you want to here...its how they get where they are in life.

Just enjoy the ride Ronnie...it may only be a short one so dont get so wrapped up in stuff that will be blown away in the whiff of time.

I did notice that there was a bit about planning permission in today's programme, so someone is telling porkies.

Yeah I sort of agree with you Leefer, however let's not get carried away on the strength of today's performance - as excellent as it was - if we can get two points from the next two away games and then beat the Shitty then we will be on a roll!!  Just cannot forget that I was lied to!

I do see your point but in the case of Tisdale if they did speak to him twice and he did act as Jed suggests then after it became clear that he wasn't going to get the move to Swindon as they wouldn't meet his demands he's hardly going to say in an interview that 'yes I spoke to them twice as I want to move to a bigger club but they wouldn't meet my demands' it seems to be that as with Caddis people will believe anyone over Jed.

The bank thing is odd but as someone who spends every working day trying to explain the planning system to people who are not specialists its possible that he may just be confused with where they are with it.

They could have been talking to the planners for months but just not submitted the application yet.

Huh, Jed and "Cronies" don't have a pot to piss in and will bleed the club dry according to the informed few.

I'm confused
'Informed few'?

Now I'm confused.

I have to work with planning departments, they are an absolute nightmare, submit everything for a 30 million school, and a year later it's still in their inbox, it's easy for them to mislay/lose stuff, to put it mildly, and they never admit it.

At the meeting I, along with 70 or so others went to, Murrall stated that planning permission was in and expected to be approved in the very near future - there is nothing on the council website and the local ward councillor knows nothing!  Something, somewhere is not right.  Is this planning on the back of a fag packet again - a la Mr Whippy!
