It's the law. You don't get refunds on concert tickets or tickets to most things and it's in the terms and conditions. As said previously it's like a holiday or buying a coat and then finding it for cheaper two weeks later, tough shit.
Hate the general public's cry baby culture. You take your chance paying early.

Well, we know where we're goin' But we don't know where we've been And we know what we're knowin' But we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out

Likewise a there are plenty of people who wouldn't skip a beat selling tickets to a sold out concert on ebay at a tidy profit if they were unable to go.

This, you take the rough with the smooth. Problem is most people who have bought tickets for this won't be regular gig-goers as it doesn't really appeal to that market. They don't really have any grasp of the culture surrounding concert tickets.

Cassidy tweeted a photo of the pitch a few days ago with a comment along the lines of "bet it won't look like this next week". It appears the tweet has since been deleted...

Watching the cricket last night from Old Trafford, they've had a redevelopment (looks terrible to me, but what do I know. Where have the hanging baskets gone that Richie Benaud used to get excited about?) One interesting feature though, was a temporary stand, which goes up for big games, and then down to accommodate a stage for gigs. If we are to have 6 or so gigs a year, then something like this would be a good solution for us...get rid of the Bank, and stick in a scaffolding job when needed.

But then, Reg, we'd only have three stands. And you know who else has three stands? That's not really acceptable is it?

That box at Old Trafford looks horrendous. As for the 6 gigs a year, if the two at the weekend aren't a success than I imagine the remainder of the gigs will be your average pub singer in the Legends.

Given how things have gone so far this summer, doubt any of us would be the least bit surprised.

Looks like the concerts will go ahead this weekend, but at a cost to STFC.
I hope Jed & co aren't relying to heavily on revenue for these concerts in their business plans.
