This is true. Will be interesting to see how the deal is structured. As Flint is young, it could very well be based on future performances etc.

Oh I agree. I was musing that a buy now pay later may be why we dismissed City's bids.

Hidden away in the McCormack story that Shitty are paying £350k and separately covering the sell on clause to Alfreton - bloody hell someone drive him down there now to sign for them at that money.

AND we've got a future sell on fee included in that. We've taken City to the cleaners!

I think Jed and Co have done well there. Sure someone else will say it, but what a shame we got such a pittance for Ritchie. Ah well, thats done now, time to move on! Looking forward to see who we bring in now to replace him.

Shows the difference when you have negotiating power. Ritchie was a fire sale plain and simple, biggest shame was that we didn't use the full transfer window to draw in other potential purchasers. Deal for Flint goes well beyond what I thought was possible. Still, looking at the thisis comments (why do I do it?) they live in a parallel universe where we're getting screwed!

Credit where it is due, if that is correct (reported transfer details are never accurate).
Previous boards have never maximised potential transfer fees with first team players, our previous board weren’t that good with this either.

This almost offsets the disappointment at the Ritchie news. Something in the vicinity of £1 million for Ritchie + Flint feels about right to me.
Sorry to see Aden go, mind. Wish him well in future...just so long as he doesn't take City up.

Still, looking at the thisis comments (why do I do it?) they live in a parallel universe where we're getting screwed! They think we should be getting a higher fee for Flint? The reported fee is already about 3 times what he is worth!
