Are you able to expand in any detail about what he said?
Kmac was the only one offered the stfc job. Ian wright was offered a ass manager position to kmac but nothing else. The only other one considered was Adkins. They spoke to his representatives regarding a caretaker role till the end of the season but were told no pretty quickly due to legal situation with Southampton. Newell and buckle never considered. In jan Pdc wanted 350k to stay as manager till end of year. Board believe this to be a spencer stunt. Who as rice said pulls PDC's strings. He believes for the £250k a year wray earnt and 190k Watkins earnt they should have been stronger in their financial management of the club. Those sort of salaries inplie a responsibility and they need to consider if they failed that. If they had said no Pdc financial meltdown could have been averted. Best of all ... 3 days after resigned the coaching staff other than piccareta asked to come back. At 3pm the club had to provide the FA with a list of injured players and the length of time expected to be out before embargo was formally lifted. The debentures related to 1957 totalled around £32k. I don't understand the legalities but people they were due to no longer alive and so a mass clearing up exercise. I asked why this wasn't picked up previously and he said as a result of our past issues they have gone through the club with a fine tooth comb.

Why has your post count changed to 2?
What did you hear in Old Town tonight?
Edit: Thanks FCB, interesting stuff. My dad heard something about the coaching staff asking to come back as well. Pretty stupid to resign if they didn't want to and subsequently end up out of work.

Thanks for actually posting all that, and sorry for my sarcastic response on the last page.

Eh?
It was just a ruder way of saying what Jo said, and you've satisfied the demand anyway. Thanks for posting. An interesting read. One thing though: I thought J Wray had said he'd been working basically for free? 250k sounds like a fortune to me.

An interesting read FCB.
Did King have much to say about why he isn't actually on the board? I suppose he has particular reason to be bitter against the Football League after the whole 'fit and proper' debacle.
Interesting that he still seems to have a fairly active role, so he is involved in all but 'job title' so to speak. I do wonder when Mr Duffen will be unveiled.

I spoke mainly to rice and some fella who's name I didn't get who did most the faffing around with the FL. Rice pointed King out to me and called him a football consultant which leads me think he does play a very active role.

Pretty sure the articles of the company weren't changed until after Wray was asked to resign. Don't think he was allowed to pay himself. Watkins was on a fair amount but earnt most of it IMO.

The Articles were changed after he left to allow non-exec directors to get paid (Patey). Wray was an executive director as far as I'm aware. Saying that, Wray was never paid in previous years, so this would have been something new.
