Like a spit roast?
Having seen proper southern BBQ in action, I can guarantee you it's NOTHING like a spit roast. You basically dig a pit, fill it with BBQ coals, light it, and then cook the pork on it overnight and most of the next day until it is so tender you can pull it apart with your fingers. It's juicy and flaky and delicious in every possible way. I don't really like BBQ sauce, but there are so many regional variations of the tangy, spicy sauce that I tried it wherever I went just to see, and boy was some of it amazing. It's better than a hog roast, and I fucking love hog roasts. I suppose the only problem is that unlike a hog roast you don't get crackling. |

I like a corned beef, parma ham, mayonnaise, branstons pickle, nando's peri peri sauce with crushed cadbury's crunchie sandwich. Has to be tasted to be believed, absolutely lovely. Brown bread if possible.

I was so bemused this morning, I made strawberry jam sandwiches just for a change  Bread and Jam....stunningly lovely when you are hungry. Though i do like a nice tuna and red onion sarnie with plenty of salad cream and black pepper. |
