Get your foot down Jed, as much as Tommy and Darren have stepped in, we need someone in the manager's role to solely concentrate on managing and the players to concentrate on playing.

If the funds are similar to before why are two players in charge of a threadbare squad?
It's clear to anyone that the current team situation needs addressing quickly. The top of the table is tighter than a ducks arse. A couple of ropey results could be damaging. Every day no spent chasing a new boss is a day wasted.

Probably because it's not a matter of funding, so much as timing. Two games in 3 days means you back the guys in situ rather than talking about who you might get to replace them. Or alternately, if you want to take the bleaker view from yesterday's somewhat underprepared press conference, they just haven't thought about it much.

I won't deny that the twitter thing set the alarm bells ringing.  But that was just a first impression.  It's what he does now (or doesn't do) that really matters.  The press conference yesterday did nothing to dispell the initial impression that we've probably taken a step backwards in terms of the calibre of the people at the top.
Nobody had any issues with Mark Devlin's man of the people act.

I went for Chinese with Devlin, Power and Sullivan, but I'd have had them in charge of the club.  Just because they associated with a drunk happy clappy nutcase, didn't mean they couldn't run a football club.

I'm not at liberty to divulge this information during the current phase of what remains a very fluid situation. I will, however, do my best to keep fans updated as to the situation vis a vis pondlife behinds in an open and honest fashion.

Would we be right to assume that you have duck's arses behind you, but at this stage they do not want to reveal their identity!

They are private, family ducks and it would be wrong of me to discuss the exact location of their arses, whether in front of or behind me. I can reveal though that their arses are very firmly behind them, as is the way it should be.

I think this is the problem when the same questions get asked in different ways and to different people.

My understanding (from what Ward and Miller have stated in interviews) was that the players asked for them to take temporary charge because it was already a very transient situation with a lot of upheavel. They felt Paolo had prepared them thoroughly enough.

That said, I think there's some merit in the new Board having discussions behind closed doors. I'm sure they have already and are continuing to do so. The trouble is you can't leak any information out as it will only get back to the media and piss the players off. What if the Board rush a decision, get it wrong and then be known forever as the guys who didn't get us to the Championship that year when everything went wrong at the end anyway. It might be a bit of a catch 22 situation.

Personally, I'd hope for a manager to be appointed asap.
