Im not interested in them sitting there and saying we will do this and that. I will judge them on their actions in the immediate future (until the end of the season) and beyond. The only issue I have concern with is over the managerial position

luckily it sounds like its all under control No

It's going to be interesting to see how Sam Morshead reports this.  Does he take the view that it's early days and that the owners need a little time to get their feet under the desk, or does he highlight the concerns (as on here) about the apparent lack of strategy or direction?

Also dont think people should get too hung up on vague comments from their opening press conference... I'll be judging the new owners on their actions, not their words, albeit spurious words.

Not really acceptable in my opinion.
Would people have preferred the alternative to them taking over?

Some of you seem to think there was a queue of bored millionaires  with money burning holes in their pockets wanting to spend on STFC for  fucks sake

Hopefully the later. It may provoke the board into providing some answers.

Steve Murrall named as STFC general manager.

Isn't that basically the same job as Chief Exec that Nick Watkins has?

An important action, that would have sent a strong message about their professionalism, would have been preparing for the press conference.
Absolutely this.

Wasn't impressed with the last one of those we hadWhat the fuck is that? Sounds like something out of Monty Python. Or Mr Whippy reincarnate.

He's got a background in the music industry but who knows.

All a bit vague, hopefully it'll all come out in time.

No they don't. This was the bullshit logic that kept anyone from criticising Holt/Wills/Diamandis etc for years. Just because there isn't an immediate alternative, doesn't mean to say people aren't entitled to feel concerned at what we have been landed with

I'm more concerned with who they intend to appoint as manager and when they intend to do it rather than their public image at the infancy of their ownership..

of course not , but are we going to be going through all this again in the next year or two is a bit of a worry . As with Black if you havent got a long term plan ( not saying they havent , they're just not telling ) why are they bothering .

I think Watkins is going to be here in the short term to show them the ropes and then leave.

There was a short queue.  Up to 6 or 7 interested parties, apparently.  But only this lot appeared willing to do a deal in the compressed timescale insisted on by Andrew Black.  We will never know the identity of the others, I would imagine.
