Town confirm sale of club
           
           



  SWINDON Town have released a statement confirming that the Football League have formally approved the sale of the club to new owners.

I think this will be looked back on as a good week for the club. Andrew Black has swallowed a loss of £10 million but left a good squad for the new owners. Di Canio has gone along with the unsustainable wage bill that he and his mates had managed to secure - along with his agent who was integral to most of the player deals. Remember Swindon paid £450K in agents fees last season ( http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/82/b7/0,,10794~178050,00.pdf ) which was not much less than the other 23 Div 2 clubs together. Only one other club, Crawley, spent more than £100K and they were over £300K behind Town.
