A mate told me about Nev's passing last night and I felt genuinely sad, even though I'd never met him.  A salient reminder that each poster has a real person behind the Handle and Avi (well most of you).

As JFW said earlier in the thread, every time I see Paolo written incorrectly, I always think "Paolo, it's Paolo" and for that I'll remain grateful to Nev.

RIP indeed.

Such sad news and such a young age. I hope he's "Tripping the light puntastic" up there.

I am sure that anyone who is around on Tuesday would be more than welcome. Would anyone like to take on a collection? I'm rather swamped with work at the moment. A PayPal account would be good I guess.

No takers then, that's ok. I have taken tomorrow and Friday off work and have emailed the GWH as they have a Just Giving account to see if we can divert a collection to the Intensive Care Unit. I will let you know what they say but that would be an easy way to get the donations in.

If they can't or won't I will go to plan B and put my PayPal and bank details up by PM for anybody who would like to contribute. The idea is that if we can get collections in by Monday then I will be there at the funeral on Tuesday and can let his family know that we have done what we can.

So okay, he wasn't a close friend but I feel this one. His neighbour described Terry as 'a Swindon Town fanatic'.

Sing up for Nev on Saturday.

I think there should be a Neville W tribute on here, something like naming a forum after him.

How about the Neville W Punfest forum, for all jokes etc.?  Would be fitting, and would associate a smile with his memory.

Perhaps we could rename general discussion to something involving his name? It'll have more longevity than a new area and it'll always be used and busy.

Al, I would've normally put myself forward to organise a collection, but I too am very busy with work at the moment. Please keep us updated with regards to donations, I will definitely contribute.

I may see if I can swing Tuesday afternoon off and pay my regards.
