The first time I tried one we'd blagged our way into a party on top of a multi-storey(note to Adver, keep that for a Miles goal scoring related headline) car park in Soho.  Don't think I've had one quite as good since.

The biggest sacrilege is putting the mint through the blender.  Why in God's name would you do that?!?!?!

Disagree, using Vodka!!! Mojitos should be used with rum, dark, light or golden with pure cane dark sugar. Otherwise they'd be called Mojitoski's......

Not a great fan of bacardi though.

Other brands are available.

Should've got some Havana Club.

I never really considered it a cocktail but apparently an Irish Coffee does count.  Lovely on a cold day.

A mojito without rum is not a mojito. Smash mint stalks (that's where most of the mint juices are) with equal amounts of granulated and dark cane sugar. Then stick in 1 squeezed lime, crushed ice, then Havana Club rum and soda over the top. Give a quick stir, then top with mint leaves. Fucking amazing.

Went to Bath  yesterday and had a snifter at the Couer De Lyon pub....not been there before...proper olde pub.....with a nice selection of Red Wines Cheesy

And a tinker box of a cafe next door that does a nice line in grub.

The mixture of mojitos, margaritas and Cidre went down well last night.

Complemented my lamb curry with spinach and marsala mash a treat!

Next time it's Long Island Ice Tea - sounds feckin' deadly
