In other transfer news, David Beckham has signed for PSG for 5 months. That didn't interest me, but what did was that his salary will go not to him, but to a children's charity in Paris.

Now clearly he doesn't need the money but its a bloody good gesture all the same.

Beckham is worthy of all the praise he gets and will be a sad loss to football when he finally retires. Hopefully we see him stick around in some capacity.

I hope never to see him or his miserable sour old faced bint again.

Three players are expected to sign on with the Robins before the end of the day, however. Watch this space.

Madine has fallen through. i presume these 3 are Green, Pack and Wright-Phillips

"The Advertiser understands Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Madine will not be joining Swindon on loan.

The proposed move has fallen through after the Owls failed to land a transfer target of their own.

The club are still expecting to complete three deals this evening, so stick with Deadline Day Live."

Marlon Pack, Danny Green and one other then? Possibly BW-P?

They'll be Green, Pack and Martin loan extended.

Classic deflecting tactics....aren't you expecting us to sell anyone?  Would be a surprise if we don't.

I'd be delighted with BWP. I'm also very happy with Green. Pack i'm unsure on but with Rooney going and Hollands also not coming back it's good that Paolo has acted fast to get cover in CM.

Would prefer Wright Phillips over Madine anyway
