You mean they never knew Collins was on 7k a week at Shrewsbury? I thought it was common knowledge

where do clubs get this idea that we think we're a big club?  i've never actually seen any of us play that card?

sure we're one of the bigger clubs in the division and many of us have said that but that in no way makes us a big club.

just because we're confident that we have a good squad and decent shot of promotion doesn't make us the devil, we've all seen many, many bad swindon sides and at the moment we're on the up which we're enjoying in the main.  what's wrong with that?  did swansea get such envious eyes directed toward them over the last decade?

what if we'd have had the success we've had over the last 16 months but with - for example - paul tisdale in charge instead of paolo?  would we still be so universally hated?

as a side point i've only been to shrewsury away once, in the wise/sturrock L2 campaign.  i said on the way home to my dad that they were the most backward set of fans i had ever seen.  nothing has changed my opinion of that - even crawley's weirdo fans and bury's strange attempt to get into the away end recently.

Nicely put and I agree with all of that TBH.

We travel over England
And one day Europe too

Cos we all follow the Swindon
We're the famous Town End crew.

Some of them think we're £30 million in debt & Collins took a pay cut to go there! I nearly gave myself a hernia I was laughing so much. They call us ill informed, dear me.

That's why he was so fond of sea voyages. Trying to get as far away as possible.

AT LAST...... A beacon of hope

Quote
I know, I know...it's painful at times this board isn't it....

And I can’t be sure as I can’t be arsed to go back and look at who said what but I bet those on here celebrating the possibility DiCanio might be moving on are the same folk who go on about him being a s**te manager...

I do find all this talk about Swindon a tad confusing...

Perhaps there is hope after all?

We tip our hat to you Sir.
