Indeed. Not so much the leaving - but the way that he did it. I wish it had been more amicable a-la Cox and Parkin. Because he was a bloody good player for us, but tainted it because of the above in my eyes. No much different from Grant Smith, Matt Heyward and the ilk. But I kind of don't think of him in those terms because he was a local lad and did well!

Agree with that, the 'ungenerous' nature of Austin leaving taints his Swindon legacy a tad in my view. That said seeing a player come good in the way he did in Swindon shirt was a privilege - or I certainty I thought so at the time.

Southampton away was legendary for me.
Remember you can only have humility if you have intelligence and despite being one of the best finishers I have ever seen.....he ain't got that.

I didn't sing but I did laugh. There was nothing (that I heard) that was completely out of order, just off putting for Austin. It worked too it seems.
The "Charlie Charlie Austin song at the end was a nice touch when CA walked round to applaud the fans.
Great game last night, loved it.

He did get a fair amount of stick from the Townend, but clapping all the supporters at the end was a nice touch, fair play to him. I did chuckle at the "Nice one Benson, nice one son!" chant after we went 1-0 up
