I know pretty much nothing about his life other than the three hours he spent jumping in a warehouse in the Nevada desert on the moon.

And "one small step for (a) man..." quote.

Apparently he got his pilot license before a driving license, saw action in the Korean war and was a lecturer.

Showing my age here but was going to get up in the middle of the night to watch the moon landing but got pissed the night before so couldn't be arsed - and so missed one of the most historic events ever!
