Spending a couple of sheckles a week for a regular spinning class can pay dividends.
I thought myself reasonably fit but have found myself on the verge of blacking out at the odd class.
Your fitness level increases and, as a bonus, if you work at it, your pedaling style smooth's out due to the spin bikes being fixed wheel.
I did a few spinning classes once, never again. Hate them with a passion along with gyms in general. However, I did and can appreciate how they can benefit you and how fucking hard they are.

As we are moving to a back of beyond village on the edge of the Lake District I suspect the scope for spinning classes will be limited. I always thought I would hate the gym , but once I went I quite enjoyed it so that makes me think that with some music I could handle a turbo. Speaking to mate last night he uses Trainer Road which as long as you have a cadence thingy works out your power once you enter what turbo it is, on that basis looking at probably buying one of these... https://www.merlincycles.com/tacx-t2500-booster-ultra-high-power-magnetic-folding-trainer-55112.html

As Bennett informed me - you will need a Garmin dongle in order for your laptop to pick up your cadence/speed.

absolutely !! I watched The Program the other day. Not nearly as dramatic as it should have been if it had followed the David Walsh book.

I'm currently watching a bike on EBay with the intentions of trying to lose some timber and gain some fitness. I've read a bit about the bike and wonder if anyone knows if they're any good? It's a Specialized Rouaix SL2, second hand what's it worth and is it a good push rod? Thanks for any sensible answers, those without sensible answers get bent

Is it carbon or alloy as its a carbon I would want to take a close look before buying second hand. No idea what its worth to be honest?

Thanks It does say it's carbon fibre is that an issue? i dont have a clue what I'm looking for and its probably a flash in the pan. But i figured £200-250 wouldnt be too big a risk if i didn't like it as i could always sell it myself.
