Admiring their snatch?
Always preferred the clean and jerk. Although, it seems the wrong way round to me.

And that farce is why sports with judgement in the scoring system are flawed.

Indeed, that's why in my view they aren't proper sports

Just happened the the IOC guy from Japan was there to help with the ceremony...
Got back an hour ago from the Beach Volleyball, but I was up in the gods. Agree with SR about the PA relying to get the crowd up every 20 secs. Did enjoy the dancers though!!
GB just gone 2-0 up in the mens hockey against the Argies. Been a bit spicy. Wonder why?!

And a sit down protest in the Fencing, it's all getting tasty tonight.
Also in defence of all sports with judging systems (as I compete in one) I can't see a major difference between relying on the judgement call of a panel (note panel, not one) of judges and relying on a human official refereeing as almost every sport does.

I didn't realise that you did compete in sport with judges. Which one? (Although I did judge you when you let that back pass in a few years ago )

I think there's more judgement in scoring things like gymnastics and diving than boxing though isn't there? You can see clearly if someones twatted someone else in the head. It's a bit harder to notice how many revolutions someones done in the air

Thought they judged the diving well earlier. And they only had one look at it

Exactly! Judged sports should really be downgraded as hobbies. Skillful hobbies yes, something 99% of us can't do. But hobbies just the same. The Mrs used to be a tramampolinist, I have this argument a lot.
