I know I am in the minority, but I don't think he's funny.

I'm with you

Maybe I'm not in the minority then?

I quite enjoy his awkwardness, the series when he stayed in the hotel was good

I'm a big fan but I've known plenty of people who don't like the Alan Partridge shows and that's fair enough.

Alan Partridge has one of those intense super fanbases, like The Office and Bill Murray where some people don't just quietly enjoy these shows/people, they have to tell the world.

I used to watch The Day Today, KMKYWAP and I'm Alan Partridge when visiting my dad on 'divorce weekends' back in the early/mid 90's, they used to be on BBC2 on a Friday night. Back then I didn't appreciate what I was watching but I see most Armando Iannucci related shows from back then (add The Saturday/Friday Night Armistice to the above list) with fond sentimentality.

As a result of said weekends, I also like 'Game On' and, erm, 'The High Life'.

I find myself watching Saxondale more than I do Partridge these days though.

I'm Alan Partridge is one of the best british comedies/ sitcoms etc.

So many quotable lines "Oh that's just my girlfriend, she's mildly cretinous"

Sadly for me, the latest instalment of Partridge did nothing for me.

Started watching and backed up my original opinion.  Turned it off after 15.

I haven't got time to watch it all now, but I thought the first part was brilliant.

It was good, but could have been condensed into 30 minutes.
