I thought he was right in taking Connell off when he did. Ok Murray hadn't had any chances but he was doing the linking up role quite well in the first half, whereas Connell missed from 2 yards and squandered a number of other chances, the final straw was when he fluffed his touch and it went out for a throw. Knew his number was coming up and was quite frankly stunned at the reaction.

Just saw this interview on Sky Sports News, and he sounded very pissed off.
I couldn't believe it when I heard booing, Connell was poor, very poor. Yes Murray wasn't brilliant but still it wasn't like Connell was on a hattrick after scoring two brilliant goals, he had missed an open goal and his first touch was awful that game.

Why is this getting so much press, and why is PDC even making reference to it? We all know that 100 people booing will make more noise than the other 7,900 who are not...so why give these idiots any recognition at all? They are a small minority. Hardly worth the airtime, and definitely not reflective of the average fan.
This really annoys me. PDC should ignore in future.

I don't like being tarnished (or is it varnished ) with the same brush as these mongs. PDC now thinks the fans were booing Benson coming on when I think those 'fans' wanted to see Murray replaced by Benson, rather than Connell. No one in their right mind would boo Benson coming on.

He should just not start Connell again, that way nobody can boo when he is (somewhat inevitably) taken off.

The Town End were singing "one Alan Connell" which I saw as the same message as booing. No mention of that.

I wasn't expecting booing at all. Stupid thing to boo really. Paolo has always justified why he makes his subs and he is the boss not the fans. I can see him getting pissed off and walking at this rate then all the mongs will moan that he's left because that is what they thrive on.

Let's give PDC some credit, he realises fans will have differing opinions to him (you only have to listen to people sat near to you on a match day to realise that we have differing opinions). I have to say there is a fair chunk of support that can't wait for things to go wrong so they can have a good whinge / shout abuse etc. I had a complete tool sat behind me at Wembley, he was barking and whinging as soon as the first mistake was made on the pitch - I thought he was going to explode (I wish he had ). I wonder if some people see match day as a time to let off life's stresses

I wonder if some people see match day as a time to let off life's stresses Maybe, my theory is that we as a fan base have got so used to mediocrity and going nowhere over the last decade that moaning has become habit and second nature. So when the chance to return to our normal habitat comes, many grab it because it is what comes naturally and reminds them of their fathers penis. S Frued.

If people disagree with a decision what are they supposed to do? booing is the last small piece of power the football fan has. If PDC is going to throw a strop every time someone disagrees with him and threaten take his ball home then fuck it,let him.

PDC is a volatile character but if he expects all the crowd to like him 100% of the time he would never find a club! personally think he got it wrong not taking murray off first as he was more shocking than normal but alan connell did deserve to come off and no way was booing for benson as he is the best thing to happen for town this season so instead of everybody worrying pdc will get angry and walk off because of a few boos enjoy the rest of the season then what will be will be in the summer hopefully he wont walk but if he does then he takes our thanks and we get someone else(ling and taylor) who would be around for the long haul!
