As far as I'm aware, West Ham currently have a manager?
Untill they don't, I won't be worried.
Allardyce will get them up, and once they are up, I don't think they could have a better man in place to keep them their.

West Ham would be mad to go for Di Canio at the moment, and Paolo would be crazy to go there too. He's currently learning the ropes in management and he can get away with things with us that he wouldn't at a higher level.
I'd be truly amazed if PDC left us for them before the end of next season.

I don't think we have to worry about WHU stealing PDC...yet. I think they'll see hasn't achieved anything yet and is a bit volatile.
Don't get me wrong, I think PDC will be great for this club and will be very successful. It just a bit early in his career to take someone of WHU's size. Lets hope a smaller Championship team don't come in for him..

But a smaller Championship club would not interest PdC - he believes he can achieve that at Swindon.
If/when he goes it will have to be to a club that is willing to indulge him as we have done - and there aint too many of them!

It was interesting to hear the WHU fans moaning on 606 the other night and their major gripe was that with Allardyce there was no Plan B if things are not working.
I thought that was a little ironic as the one minor gripe that I with PdC is that if we cannot break teams down we also seem to lack an alternative approach - sure it will come with experience.

Safe to say, I think, that Reading's win at Brighton this evening all but confirms their automatic promotion back to the Prem, along with Southampton. (I know Reading and Southampton still have to play each other...just can't see either slipping up now.) So it's West Ham for the play offs.
None of which will, of course, have any bearing on PDC's plans for next season. He's ours, for now.

Probably. Friday is Southampton v Reading, I wouldn't count West Ham totally out of it yet. Though they have Brighton themselves. |
