How did Connell managed to be credited with that goal.

The ball goes no where near him!
According to the os on their gallery it looks like it is Connell that heads it.

Not read thru the whole thread & this isn't aimed at anyone in particular but I have to say I'm a bit bemused at the amount of Ritchie bashing that seems to be going in.

Take last nights performance, both goals came from Ritchie corners, there were several dangerous crosses from him & he also had a few decent efforts on goal.

Also, regarding the referee last night. I can't remember him doing anything really stupid, or getting any major decision wrong at all. To be honest it was a pretty clean game (don't recall any bookings) & you wonder how much of that was down to the referee having control.

Really enjoyed the game last night, the best i've seen us play in a while.

I thought Holmes was brilliant, every cross he put into the box was brilliant, he never wasted a ball. I would like to see us get the ball to him a bit more.

Risser had one of his best games in a town shirt and deserved the MOM.

Fair assessment I think from Torquay

And at least they haven't said it was an off day, and they're the best team in the league etc

I wanted to put this in the Trivial things you don't understand thread but somebody thought it would be a good idea to lock it...

What a pathetic 1 minute 31 seconds highlights reel on Player that only shows the goals, why is it so much shorter than the usual 4/5 minutes?!

Yep. Even the BBC did better on this occasion by including a snippet of the interview.

I thought that was strange as well.Special offer for World being advertised at the moment so would have thought all the stops would be pulled out in the hope of attracting new subscribers but you actually get better highlights on BBC

Watched it for the 4th time and every time I watch it it looks like that after Connells small touch it hits the defender squarely on the shin and that Risser also looks like he could have touched it also.

Yes it does look as though Connell got the faintest of touches on it but not enough to send it goalwards the main touch comes off the defender who was under pressure from Risser.
