Pretty good deal for the Saints...a 1st in '23 and a 2nd in '24 for their coach who'd left over a year previously...

Up there with getting money for Scott Lindsey

To be fair, that's a pretty decent retirement speech. Short, to the point, not attention seeking.

Is it me or is it not possible to post videos any more?
Probably just me, I'm sure...

He may well retire properly this time, given some investments and marriage have fucked up since the last one.

Stupid fucking sport

That flag at the end should be thrown on c90% of passing plays. Refs decided that game

I don't have any love for either team. From the highlights (not stopping up all night 2 watch 2 teams I don't like) it looked as if the losing team were very unlucky - How many 4th and inches did they convert!!!

It was closer than I thought it would be. Came down to one mistake by the QB in the first half, a special teams aberration and a dodgy call in the last minute. And the fact that the other team are (unfortunately) pretty shit hot!

Great game, the best SB I've watched I think but totally unsatisfactory that it should have been effectively decided by a very, very dodgy flag. Let's face it, it was plain wrong Smith-Shuster was not held, end of story.

Very good game though with momentum swinging one way then the other throughout.

The flag at the end was correct, maybe a bit petty but as he was crossing the field the DB pulled his jersey.

The problem is that as he was going across the field (and they were in white) it’s clearly visible to the official.

TBF the fumble that got called back by replay was just as close a call, the difference was that there was still plenty of time left for the Chiefs to overcome it.

Watch the interview with Bradberry where he said “it was a hold, but he was hoping the officials may let it slide”.

To be fair as Dave said they often do let it go and as I said it was petty

However, if the ref hadn’t thrown the flag and the Chiefs lost then their fans would have been saying the refs gave the game to the Eagles.

But as a Cowboys fan was delighted that they lost, especially after booing the Walter Payton man of the year award winner before the game Wink

Just another example of a rotten rule. Even if it was technically a foul, he didn't physically impede the player who was never going to make the catch. It spoiled the game as far as I'm concerned...
